pLuz, a lighting design agency in Medellín, focuses on social lighting. At its heart is a methodology of consultation that involves the residents of the neighbourhoods concerned in the creative process, raising their awareness of urban space and of the lighting of their city. In 2016 I worked alongside Raphael Girouard on the Quebrada Chiguaza in Bogotá. The ARCOIRIS project is the result of 2 months of collaboration, exchanges with the residents, night walks, on-site workshops and a genuine reflection on combining design and social identity.
